The Sahel Universities Network for Resilience aims to establish a fruitful partnership between member institutions in the areas of resilience to food and nutritional insecurity, climate change and natural disasters.

Today, faced with land degradation, people are no longer able to take care of themselves because yields are low and with the scarcity of rain there are many problems. Populations therefore become dependent on aid or migrate to find other means to get by. “One of the objectives with this network, for example, is to work to help these populations recover their degraded lands, for example. If we can achieve this goal, these populations will be able to produce enough to become independent. We will therefore say that these populations are resilient because they managed to find solutions to the situation they were in in a context of climate change.

FUNCTIONING

REUNIR has two (02) bodies: the General Assembly and the Executive Secretariat

General Assembly

RUNIR decision-making body. It is made up of all the focal points of the member institutions. She has the most extensive powers over the life of the UNITE.

Executive Secretariat

Le Sécrétariat Exécutif est l’organe d’exécution du REUNIR. Il met en application les décisions de l’Assemblée Générale.

ADHESION

FREE AND VOLUNTEER

Any public or private higher education institution that accepts the conditions set by the statutes and conditions can be a member of the Sahel Universities Network for Resilience “REUNIR”.
